The Charity Fundraising Authority for RDA (NSW) and its Centres has been 
renewed for a further five years.  The relevant documents are attached 
and below (in the history to this email) is the email with which they 
were sent.  


The covering email and the attached documents deal with important 
information and the legal requirements with which all of RDA (NSW) and 
its Centres need to be aware of and comply with.  While not everything 
in the documents applies to the RDA (NSW) scenario, the principles 
outlined in them do.


The documents will be placed in the RAM as usual.

The authority with conditions is now attached.
Please ensure that the future financial statements of the organisation 
comply with condition 6 of the
authority. Section 5 of the  Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 (the Act) 
defines fundraising appeal.
For the purposes of the Act clause 12 of the Charitable Fundraising 
Regulation 2015 provides for
exemption from requirement of auditing the fundraising accounts if the 
organisation does not
receive more than $250,000 gross in a financial year from any 
fundraising appeals the organisation
has conducted in that financial year. However, it should be noted that 
this exemption may not
extend to other legislative provisions your organisation must comply 
with.

The organisation will be required to submit with the next renewal its 
annual financial statements for
each year of the authority’s term (last two years).
