Dear all

I have today spoken to Lyndy at the RAS.  The Show is up in the air at the
moment and things are developing by the hour.  Lyndy agrees with me that it
is a big risk for RDA to attend the show in the midst of the CoVID 19 virus.


She agrees with me that the welfare of our riders and volunteers must come
first and is totally understanding if we cancel.

 

We have a duty of care to all members of RDA and the last thing we want is
for our people attending Sydney to be exposed and contract the virus.  Nor
do we want it brought back to our Centres and families, which could hasten
14 days of lock down.

 

A final decision will be made on Monday (16th) regardless whether the Show
is held or not, and I will let everyone know then.  At this stage it is
highly likely that the Mounted Games Competition in Sydney will be
cancelled. 

 

Please hold off on any bookings or payments for travel etc until Monday.  If
payments have been made already then the least we can do is cancel early
enough to allow refunds. 

 

I hope everyone understands the position we are in, and although a non-event
would be disappointing it is better than the possible alternative and I
would rather be pro-active than re-active.
