As member of the sporting industry, we want to make sure you are getting the latest updates to help you during these challenging times. One significant initiative is the funding grants by the Australian Sports Foundation.

In case you haven't seen it, this is an extract from the Australian Sports Foundation's latest communication.

'Applications for community sports clubs who have been affected by the recent natural disasters are closing THIS FRIDAY! 

Australia has had OVER 60 natural disasters since January 2019. From floods, cyclones, bushfires and droughts, if your sports club has been impacted by any of these, you can apply for our Sports Recovery Grant today for up to $20,000 to help your club get back on it's feet.

Examples of what you CAN apply for 

1. Sports Clubs whose community has been impacted by natural disasters that have destroyed members personal sporting equipment or training gear. EG. The New Years Eve bushfires burnt through 5 members houses, and your Sports Club is applying for $4,500 to replace the impacted members uniforms, buy new football boots, a football each, and pay for their membership for the season.

2. A Sports Club whose clubhouse was flooded and lost all of their food stocks. EG. The Queensland floods hit you club, ruining all of the canteen food so you are applying for $2500 to purchase healthy new food to stock their kitchen with for the upcoming season.

3. A promising athlete’s equipment was damaged beyond repair in the hail storms in 2020. EG. A para-equestrian aiming for Paris 2024 lost the use of their horse when it ran through a fence during the hail storm, and they are applying via their club for $18,000 to purchase a new horse.
