[Centres] Job Trainer and Workforce Development through Traineeships

Hi all, 

Through our new connection with Outdoors NSW/ACT, we have been introduced to
the NSW Workforce Development Team which is a NSW Government initiative to
provide businesses and organisations in NSW with some tailored Workforce
Development support and Training and Employment Subsidies. 

NSW Government will provide training to potential staff as part of a
Pre-employment arrangement and also assist with attraction and recruitment. 

 

In addition to this support there is currently a Wage subsidy of 50% of
wages to a new trainee staff member up to a maximum of $7,000 per quarter
for 12 months. 

Reduced subsidies will also apply for 12-24 months and 24-36 months.

This will apply to Centres that are considering or seeking to employ staff
between now and March 2022, there is a potential that these dates could be
extended but not confirmed as yet. 

 

At this stage our Coaching course doesn't qualify as a Traineeship but we
will continue to work towards that for the future. There are some synergies
with other training courses that are relevant to our organisation such as
Cert III Individual Support or Outdoor Recreation which they could do
alongside our Cert III Course.
