The Office of Sport recently held a Child Safe Engagement Forum to provide
an overview of the new Child Safe Scheme legislation that requires sport and
recreation organisations to embed the 10 Child Safe Standards.

The forum was recorded and spoke about the requirement for the Office of
Sport to develop a comprehensive Child Safe Action Plan. It sought the
assistance from State Sporting Organisations to promote a survey to receive
feedback and ideas from their members and affiliates about building a
safeguarding culture.

Sport Integrity Australia also presented on the new National Integrity
Framework and explored what this might mean for NSW State Sporting
Organisations, now that many National Sporting Organisations are signing up
to join the Framework.
