Seeding grants
Up to $50,000

The Lowitja Institute's Seeding Grant Scheme supports community-driven research across three streams: new researchers, experienced community organisations, and early career researchers partnering with communities, providing up to $50,000 in funding. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations and early career researchers collaborating with them are eligible to apply.
Community and Economic Inclusion grants
Up to $50,000
Ongoing
CAGES Foundation Community Grants are one-off grants to organisations providing services to children and families. Acknowledging that Aboriginal-controlled organisations and community have the skills, knowledge and experience required to implement effective strategies, the Foundation will fund projects up to $50,000.
CAGES Economic Inclusion Grants recognise First Nations people as the first entrepreneurs and businesspeople in Australia. They fund core expenses and internal investment products of Aboriginal-led organisations. Grants are available year-round and require a strong relationship and understanding of an organisation's goals.

Multicultural storytime grants
Up to $25,000
Closes November 17, 2023
$6 million is available over four years for Victorian organisations to deliver the Multicultural Storytime Grant Program. Aimed at families with children aged up to five years, the program uses storytelling to improve health literacy, provide culturally appropriate information about health services to families, and support connection to language and culture. Up to $25,000 is available per year for each program.
Indigenous Native Food program (INFP) (Qld)
Ongoing
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and innovators can apply for support to develop and commercialise native food products through the Indigenous Native Food Program. The pilot project aims to boost Queensland's native food industry, diversify the economy, create jobs and empower Indigenous communities while fostering marketable outcomes for local businesses.
Closing the Gap – Community and Place Grants (NSW)
Closes January 29, 2024
The Community and Place Grants Program aims to deliver tangible local benefits to Aboriginal communities against the Closing the Gap socio-economic outcome targets, recognising that Aboriginal communities have the solutions to problems or issues in their communities. Applicants can apply for up to $250,000 for one-off projects across three categories: programs, infrastructure, and equipment and vehicles.
NTAIC General grants (NT)
Ongoing
The Northern Territory Aboriginal Investment Corporation (NTAIC) general grants program offers funding for a range of business, cultural, community, and land and sea country initiatives. Examples include grants to support Aboriginal employment and businesses, cultural festivals and activities, and grants to improve community facilities. Applicants can apply for up to $500,000 per year for a maximum period of three years.
Noongar Charitable Trust Fund (NCT) grants (WA)
Ongoing
The Noongar Charitable Trust supports projects benefiting the Noongar community in areas such as health, crisis assistance, aged care, housing, culture, education, and youth, offering grants from $5,000 upwards.

More funding announced for digital skills program
The Be Connected program, which supports organisations to enhance the digital skills of individuals aged 50 and above, has received a significant boost with a $42 million extension until 2028. Grants fund digital devices, training for mentors, and events.
The Be Connected program is administered by the Good Things Foundation, eSafety, and the Department of Social Services (DSS).

Have your say on the next phase of the Future Drought Fund
The $5 billion Future Drought Fund (FDF) allocates $100 million annually for drought resilience efforts benefiting farmers and rural communities.
To help shape the next phase of funding, the federal Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is inviting public feedback on the Drought Resilience Funding Plan, which governs the FDF.

New grants open for grassroots sports and inclusive facilities
The NSW Government is investing $30 million in grassroots sporting organisations and women’s participation in sport with the Level the Playing Field and Organisation Support programs.
The programs were announced in the <https://email.ourcommunity.com.au/t/r-l-tindklt-bjdhduksj-e/> 2023-24 NSW budget and will fund new and upgraded facilities and amenities, such as change rooms and improved lighting, to foster a safe and inclusive environment for women and girls.
