[Centres] Volunteering for the RDA(NSW) Dressage, Mounted Games and Gymkhana Gala Events

Hi all, 

There is just 8 weeks until the sun rises on the 2024 RDA(NSW) Dressage,
Mounted Games and Gymkhana Gala. 

It will be held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre - 23rd, 24th and
25th August 2024. 

 

So much work has gone into the event already from our Volunteers on the
Dressage and Mounted Games Committees and other connections.  

 

The entire event needs additional Volunteers to help with all areas over the
3 days of the event, so now it is time for RDA(NSW) Volunteers from around
the state to consider being involved! 

There are lots of roles available including: 

-          Arena Stewards - Volunteers helping on the arenas with set up,
time keeping, marshalling riders, pack up of equipment, gate openers and
closers, running result sheets to the scorers. 

-          Gear Check for Dressage events - RDA(NSW) Coaches or EA Coaches
and Stewards - this involves checking gear of the participants to ensure
compliance with the rules 

-          Pencillers - Taking notes and scores from the judge in the arena
for each combination. There are forms to be filled out by hand (no ipads). 

-          Dedicated First Aid Officers - must be fully qualified with CPR
current and does not have any horses or riders to assist at the event.

-          Stable Warden - assist with bump in of horses, maintain neat and
tidy stable area, respond to needs for additional bedding, assist with bump
out of horses and checking stables are cleaned appropriately after bump out.


-          Music check volunteer - Specifically on Friday afternoon 

-          Presentation Assistants - assist with organising ribbons and
trophies and prizes throughout the event. 

-          Assist with Friday Night Event

 

Most of these roles are required on all three days of the event so please
consider coming and assisting where you would like. We can be flexible with
shift times and we will coordinate with others for breaks and changeover.
