[Centres] FW: Audited Accounts of RDA (NSW) and additional documentation for the year ended 31 December 2024 rand Notices of Motion as raised at the AGM

Centre Secretaries,

 

Please note that the Special General Meeting of RDA (NSW) will be held at
7.00pm on Thursday, 30 May.  

 

It will be held via teleconference and a link will be sent out to Centres
closer to the date of that meeting.  Please look out for it from
approximately Monday, 27 May.  Attendance at the SGM can be via both video
and telephone as may be the more convenient for the attendees.

 

The matters to be dealt with at that SGM will be as follows:

 

1.       NOTICE OF MOTION:-  Financial Audit report for the year ended 31
December 2023 to be moved for acceptance.

 

2.       NOTICE OF MOTION:-  Moved by Young Centre, Seconded by Ryde Centre,
for the dismissal of Joseph Orland as director of RDA (NSW).

 

3.       NOTICE OF MOTION:- :  Extension of directors' terms.   Note re this
NOTICE OF MOTION that it will be proposed that it be approved in principal
for the RDA (NSW) solicitor to work on the wording of the RDA (NSW)
Constitution with a view to removing the requirement that currently exists
that only 4 people can be elected onto the board in one year should there be
more than four vacancies to be filled, as a result of, for example, the
resignation or retirement of a director who would otherwise not have been
due to stand down at the AGM, 

 

4.       NOTICE OF MOTION:-  In conjunction with the RDA (NSW) solicitor, to
start investigations on the Incorporation of Centres. 

 

Attached please find the Audited Accounts of RDA (NSW) for the year ended 31
December 2023 completed as per the accounting standards.  

 

However, as some Centres wanted further details about the accounts, attached
also please find:

a.	Profit and Loss accounts for RDA (NSW) for the year ended 31
December 2023 from which the audited accounts were prepared;
b.	Balance Sheet of RDA (NSW) as at 31 December 2023;
c.	Shareholding summary  as at 31 December 2023; and
d.	Shareholding summary as at 30 April 2024.

 

In addition to the shareholding summary as at 30 December 2023, the
shareholding summary as at the end of April this year has also been
included.  This is to allay any fears that some who may not be familiar with
the sharemarket may have when they see the "splashes of red" in the share
values as at the end of last year.  There was a marked turnaround between
the value of the shares at the end of the 2023 year and at the end of April
2024.
