Future Generation Australia is calling for partnerships with not-for-profits to support children and at-risk youth. Through the partnerships, the Foundation will provide multi-year untied funding and capacity building support. 

Applications close December 9.

The Insignia Community Foundation (formerly the IOOF Foundation) awards grants twice a year to support programs that help low-income families, at-risk youth, and disadvantaged groups. Key focus areas include financial wellbeing, basic needs, reconciliation, diversity and inclusion, and mental health support. 

Applications close December 31.

NRMA Insurance are awarding $5,000 grants to cricket clubs to spend on community activities from a prize pool of $60,000.

Funding Centre tip: Connect your SmartyGrants account 

Did you know you can connect your Funding Centre account to your SmartyGrants account and see all of your grant submissions in one place?  

To bring your grant records across to your Funding Centre dashboard, follow these steps: 

1.        Log into your Funding Centre account and navigate to your dashboard 

2.       Click the 'Connect to SmartyGrants' link on the right-hand side of the page. You will be taken to a SmartyGrants login page 

3.       Sign in with your SmartyGrants credentials (note: these may be different to your Funding Centre credentials)

Once you have signed in, your SmartyGrants applications and acquittals will appear in the Funding Centre table. Your Funding Centre dashboard will then automatically sync every time you log on, and any new grant interactions you have in SmartyGrants will automatically appear on your dashboard.

Community sector news from our network

The Perpetual Philanthropy Insights Report 2024 reveals key trends for grantseekers, including a growing focus on multi-year and untied funding to sustain proven programs and address rising operational costs.

A new government-backed initiative will provide grants to not-for-profits supporting community-led, place-based solutions to entrenched disadvantage. The PLACE initiative will be launched in 2025.

Perpetual has shared ten years of data from its IMPACT Philanthropy Application Program. The ‘ <https://email.ourcommunity.com.au/t/r-l-tduiilc-bjdhduksj-a/> Philanthropy insights report’ reveals a growing focus on multi-year and untied funding to support proven programs and rising operational costs for Australian not-for-profits.

Conservation, environmental initiatives, and programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are receiving increased attention, while national-level funding is declining in favour of regional projects.
