That's a great question Clarry, and one that I am sure many Members are interested in having explained.

Let me lay it using a timeline so that everyone can see the 'flow' of Constitutional changes over the last 10 years:

2014  RDA NSW moved from the 'Rules' to adopting a Constitution
2018  Another Constitution was adopted at the 2018 AGM in May of that year
2024  The Members adopted a new Constitution at a Special General Meeting on 11 November 2024
2025  After further consultation with a specialist in not-for-profit constitutions, the Board will be proposing further changes at the AGM next month. Most of the changes relate to dealing with Member Centres that are unincorporated.

More information on those proposed changes is coming in the next few days and weeks.

The “new constitution”needs to be voted on at the AGM ..Is this the one proposed ?
There are a number of changes happening

Nomination of Directors
In accordance with the RDA NSW Constitution (adopted 11 November 2024) I am attaching a copy of the Director Nomination Form.

Nominations are now open.

As a result of the adoption of the new Constitution there will be 9 Directors elected to the RDA NSW Board at the AGM on 17 May 2025.

Please be aware of the limit of a maximum of two (2) nominations for Director from each Member Centre.

Nominations, when completed, should be sent to Lucy at State Office.

You will receive further information about the ballot and election process in the coming weeks.

Proposed Motion
The Directors have resolved to have a motion, proposed by one of the Directors, put to the AGM next month.

That motion is attached for your consideration.

Next Steps
There will be further information coming out from State Office regarding the AGM over the next few weeks.

There are a number of changes happening. We are endeavouring to make the process of change as smooth and straightforward as possible.

If there is anything that you would like clarification on regarding the AGM, the Constitution, and/or the election process for Directors, then please let me know.
