Dear Centres,

As part of the 2026-2029 strategic planning process, we are gathering some data to help inform consultations that will occur with all our stakeholders, especially our Centres, later in the year.

In addition we have some questions that our insurers need to know about our activities so we have some questions which we hope you can answer.

When we have your answers, we will collate them for your information.

  1.
Paid staff
     *
Do you "employ staff"? If so, how many do you have and what is their role / title?
        *
There is no need to include service providers like electricians, plumbers or other intermittent contractors.
     *
Are they full time, part time or casual?
     *
Do you pay them as employees with income tax taken out and with accrued entitlements ... or do you pay on receipt of an invoice from them, like a contractor .... cash ... or some other way?
     *
Other comments / questions?

  1.
Activities for people who do not have a disability?
     *
Do you run classes or other activities for people who do not have a disability? If so, what classes eg riding, connections etc?
        *
For this question, do all students complete the RDA (NSW) consent form and get registered with State office?
     *
How are these staffed eg volunteers, paid Coaches etc?
     *
Do you have other classes which you charge for that are not simply one-off fundraising eg school holiday adventure programs etc? Do they sign a consent and are they registered with RDA NSW for insurance purposes?
     *
Other comments / questions?

  2.
Professional therapy classes
     *
Do you run sessions for people who are delivered by a therapist on your premises such as an occupational therapist, psychologist or similar? What is the business arrangement with these providers? Do they carry their own Professional Indemnity insurance?
     *
Other comments / questions?

  3.
Do you have any good ideas you would like to share with all the Centres about new models of delivering our mission?

We would greatly appreciate hearing back from your Centre by the end of October. You do not need to be exact with your numbers, but we are trying to better understand the Centres' activities, especially the successful models that are operating in the various Centres.

If your answer is "No" to all the questions, we'd still appreciate your reply.

If you have questions, feel free to contact our Board Director, Tina Clifton on tina.clifton at rdansw.org.au

Best regards
