Dear all

 

Due to the overload on our email system, due to Centres sending emails  to Centres and life members the email below from Ed Binney from MGL Centre was not received by the Centres. 

 

Margaret Norman responded to the question email  below in the email dated 20 July sent to the Centres email attached

 

Hope this clarifies why Margaret sent the email response to the question  - that NSW divested from the National RDA body about 20 years

I have a question for the AGM.

 

Anecdotally I have heard that NSW divested from the National RDA body about 20 years ago due to a concern about the ownership of some property in the North West of Sydney. Whilst this information may not be accurate on the specifics, the fact is the RDA NSW split away from the national RDA body.

 

Things have changed over the last 20 years, in particular since the introduction of NDIS. So is it time to review the benefits and disadvantages of merging RDA NSW back into the National RDA body?

As per normal practice the Board requests that any questions pertaining to the Financial Reports or any questions of a more general nature be sent to State Office as soon as possible or at the latest 5 days prior to the AGM (20/7 <x-apple-data-detectors://5> ) to ensure adequate time for the Board to respond.

 

As this meeting is via teleconference it will be difficult to take questions “from the floor” due to the physical restrictions of the situation. Questions entered into the chat room during the Meeting will be taken on notice if clarification is necessary and a response forwarded as soon as possible following the AGM.
