[Centres] COVIDSafe PLAN update

Hi all, 

There have been a lot of changes this week every day new information and
today's news will be a welcome relief to our Regional Centres. 

 

Moving forward we encourage all Centres to have a cautionary approach to
opening up within the guidelines. 

The following links have some guidance for  Centres to review and be aware
of how you can meet the requirements:

tion_advice_for_businesses.pdf CASP suggests having a process of either
checking each time people arrive or keeping a register of checks on their
first attendance however DO NOT keep a copy of vaccination certificates. 

 

Regarding vaccination compliance and obligations:

-          Each Centre is responsible for taking reasonable steps to prevent
unvaccinated people entering your premises. For example, having prominent
signs stating requirements, Service NSW QR codes, staff checking vaccination
status upon entry and only accepting valid forms of evidence of vaccination,
or medical exemption.

-          Authorised officers will monitor businesses re-opening,
particularly those that have vaccination requirements, for example
hospitality, retail, gyms, and personal services (e.g. hair, beauty).

-          Penalties may apply for individuals and businesses who don't
comply. On the spot fines of $1,000 may apply to individuals for not
complying, or for using fraudulent evidence of vaccination or check-in. On
the spot fines of $5,000 may apply to businesses for not complying with the
Public Health Order vaccination requirements. Further penalties may apply
for significant breaches.

Starting Monday 11th October our programs can increase to Level 3 of the
COVID plan however the requirement will be a maximum of 20 people on the
arena at any one time. 

 

Regional Centres will be allowed to have Volunteers that have had 1 dose and
an appointment for the 2nd dose until the 1st of November at this stage.
This will only apply to Volunteers not Participants. 

 

Greater Sydney Centres will need to have only fully vaccinated Volunteers
onsite. 

 

Under 16 year old Volunteers are not required to be vaccinated. 

 

All Participants over 16 and Carers are required to be vaccinated.
