[Centres] FW: Ballina Centre's Situation

To all Centres:

 

The directors Of RDA (NSW) wish to clarify the happenings at the RDA Ballina RDA Centre, including the Private Horse related Business of Mrs Anna Rimac “Ability Horsemanship” sent to centres on Sunday May 21st 2023.  

 

The Board began receiving written complaints for over the previous 6 months.  These complaints came from volunteers and a coach, stating that certain activities at the centre were in conflict with RDA activities.

That such activities were negatively impacting on the RDA(NSW) organisation.

 

The Ballina centre was bequeathed to the RDA(NSW) to be used solely as a RDA centre.

RDA(NSW) is responsible as a charitable organisation and is bound to ensure its members operate within such guidelines as legally required.

 

Preliminary Investigations by the Board revealed that it was necessary to implement and introduce measures by placing the centre into administration in order to assist the centre to return to a normal situation as soon as possible. 

 

Such work has commenced and a meeting is scheduled this week with the centre on progress.

We assure you that the Ballina RDA centre may continue to operate as normal during this time, with the assistance of the Board RDA (NSW) /administrator/committee to achieve this.

 

Unfortunately, due to legal and insurance questions needing to be addressed to safeguard the landowner, RDA (NSW), Mrs Rimac has been asked to cease her Private Business at the RDA Grounds until these issues are resolved and RDA (NSW) is protected.  This does not stop her private business from operating elsewhere. 

 

The way forward is for all parties to co-operate together with the appointed Administrator to resolve all legal and Insurance issues.
