About RDA (NSW)

Riding for the Disabled Association (NSW) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing equine assisted opportunities for people with disabilities across New South Wales.

Our programs offer therapeutic, recreational benefits and participation in sporting events, helping individuals improve physical strength, coordination, confidence, and mental well-being. As one of the few organisations in Australia offering a multi-diagnostic service, we cater to people with physical, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities.

With 33 centres across NSW, including 90% based in regional areas, RDA NSW supports over 1075 riders annually through the dedication of our incredible volunteers. Our programs include horse riding, Carriage Driving, Dressage, Mounted Games, and Equine Facilitated Mental Health & Learning (EFMH&L). We ensure every rider receives tailored support to create a life-changing, empowering experience.

RDA NSW is committed to safety, inclusion, and community connection, working closely with families, schools, and disability service providers to ensure accessibility for all. Whether you’re looking to participate, volunteer, or support our mission, we welcome you to be part of our growing community dedicated to transforming lives through the power of horses.
