Discover Dressage with RDA (NSW): Elegance, harmony, and opportunity
Dressage is a graceful equestrian sport where horse and rider perform a series of elegant, choreographed movements in an arena. It aims to create a harmonious connection between horse and rider, showcasing their skills and athleticism while promoting physical fitness and balance for both.
RDA (NSW) Dressage Opportunities
RDA (NSW) provides riders with disabilities the chance to compete in Dressage competitions, showcasing their skills and passion. Our programs include:
RDA (NSW) State Dressage Championships: The pinnacle event where riders demonstrate their progress and compete at a high level.
Annual DVD Competitions: Riders can participate remotely by submitting their performances on video.
Protocol Days and Regional Competitions: Centres across NSW host events to prepare riders for larger competitions.
RDA (NSW) Dressage Competitions are based on the five Para-Equestrian Classification grades:

2 – Walk and some trot
3 – Walk and trot tests
4 – Walk, trot and canter
5 – Walk, trot & canter with lateral work
Riders who do not ride with an RDA (NSW) Centre, however have a disability, are encouraged to join RDA (NSW) as an Associate Rider thus allowing them to participate in these events with their own horse and coach. Contact our State Office for more details.
