Governance

Strong governance at RDA (NSW)

Governance is a continuous commitment at Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) NSW, upheld by our Board of Directors, finance and discipline committees, Coaching and Safety Panel (CASP), centre teams, and dedicated volunteers.

Governance structure and compliance

Our governance framework is built upon the RDA (NSW) Constitution, which aligns with the Sport Australia Framework, ensuring transparency and compliance.

RDA (NSW) centres and leadership

RDA (NSW) comprises 33 centres across New South Wales. As a registered charity, we rely primarily on volunteers to support our mission. RDA (NSW) became an incoroporated company in 1981, and we have continued to grow and serve communities across the state.

The RDA (NSW) Board consists of up to 8 directors, elected by our centres. To strengthen local representation, NSW is divided into 8 regions, each overseen by a Regional Representative.

By maintaining strong governance, accountability, and leadership, RDA (NSW) continues to make a meaningful impact on people with disabilities through equine-assisted activities.
